Who I am

This website is run by Tanveer Jafri, a freelance WordPress and WooCommerce developer based in Pakistan. I am the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact me about privacy at any time at tan@tanveerjafri.com. My website is https://tanveerjafri.com.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry

The project enquiry forms ask for your name, email address and the service you need. You can also choose to share your company or brand, current website, budget range, timeline, project details, references and how you found me. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive information in the form.

When you email me

If you email me directly, I receive your email address, your message and anything you attach.

When you browse the site

Like most websites, the server records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. My hosting provider uses these logs to keep the site secure and working.

Analytics

If you accept optional cookies, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, for example which pages are visited, how long people stay and roughly which country they are in. It does not identify you personally, and I do not use it for advertising. If you choose “Necessary only”, Google Analytics does not set any cookies. I also use Google Search Console, which shows how the site appears in Google search results; it does not place cookies on your device.

Comments

If you leave a comment on a blog post, I receive your name, email address, website (if given), the comment itself and your IP address, so I can moderate and display it.

Why I use your data

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a scope or quote. This is a step you ask for before we enter into a contract.
• To deliver work if we agree a project, and to keep records for invoicing and accounting.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse. This is in my legitimate interest.
• To measure and improve the site with Google Analytics, but only if you accept optional cookies.

I do not sell your personal data, use it for automated decision-making or send you marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.

Who I share it with

Your data is only shared with the services needed to run this website and reply to you:

• My web hosting provider, which stores the website, the enquiry submissions and server logs.
• My email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications and our emails.
• Google, which provides Google Analytics (only if you accept optional cookies) and Google Search Console.
• Professional advisers or authorities, only where the law requires it.

These providers may store data outside your country. Where that happens, I rely on providers that protect personal data to a recognised standard.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client and project records: for as long as needed to provide the work and meet legal and tax obligations.
• Server logs: kept by the hosting provider for a limited period for security.
• Comments: until you ask me to remove them or the post is removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR for visitors in the EU and UK, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, ask me to limit or stop using it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email tan@tanveerjafri.com and I will reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Removing your information

You can ask me to remove your information at any time:

• Enquiry form: if you sent an enquiry through this website, email me and I will delete your submission and any related emails, unless we have an ongoing project that I need records for.
• Work page: if your business, website, name, logo or screenshots appear in my portfolio and you would like them changed or removed, email me and I will update or remove them.

Send requests to tan@tanveerjafri.com from the email address involved, or tell me which project or enquiry it relates to. I will confirm once it is done.

Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. This site keeps cookies to a minimum and does not use advertising cookies.

Cookies this site uses

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics only uses cookies after you click “Accept all” in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you choose “Necessary only”, it runs without cookies using Google Consent Mode. Managing cookies

You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link, which is also in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Security

The site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to the website administration is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
